Wet-Process Short-Fiber Insulation

Different manufacturing routes create fundamentally different insulation structures.

Conventional Laminated Rigid Felt

Soft felt → resin impregnation → layer stacking + hot pressing.

Result: laminated structure with layer interfaces.

ACX Wet-Formed Short-Fiber Process

Short fibers → wet dispersion → vacuum forming directly in mold.

Result: integrated molded structure with no conventional laminate interfaces.

Why the Process Matters

Wet forming changes the material architecture itself — reducing conventional layer interfaces and supporting improved resistance to delamination.
